The island of Manhattan

The island of Manhattan is located primarily at the mouth of the Hudson river and is the most densely populated and oldest of five boroughs of the city of New York. The population of the island is 1,585,875 living in a land area 22 mi.². It is also the home of the United Nations.

A Time To Pause

I was about to write on my blog about the islands of the Philippines, but with the terrible massacre that happened in Colorado I think it is time to pause and reflect on life it is so short. We must enjoy every moment of it.

My heart and prayers go out to the people who lost their loved ones at the hands of this evil bastard in Colorado. You may ask yourself how could God let this happen God did not let it happen this was pure evil from hell. But God will have the last word when this man stands before him and has to pay the price of eternal damnation would you like to be in his shoes.

Amelia Island

Amelia island is located in Nassau County off the Florida coast. It is 13 miles long and approximately 4 miles wide.

The island has changed hands many times during it's long history. It has been under eight different flag Spanish, French, and British, just to name a few.

Key West

Key West is a city and Island with the same name. It is located in my Monroe county Fl. It is the southernmost city in the continental United States

the Spanish Explorer Ponce de Leon was the first European to arrive in the keys in 1521. Key West became part of the United States in 1822 when Matthew Perry claimed it as United States property.

You may fly into Key West but it will have to be on a small plane such as a commuter because the runways will not accommodate large jets. The island is also accessible by car is about 3 1/2 hours from Miami.

. There are many interesting things to see in the town it is the home of Ernest Hemingway . You will also enjoy a visit to the shipwreck Museum and Key West lighthouse. if you enjoy snorkeling, glass bottom boats, and swimming with the Dolphins you will enjoy Key West.
