World Class Attractions in Puerto Rico

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island. All opinions are 100% mine.

It has been told that there is no greater journey than the one that leads us all to paradise and enchantment. With that being said, Puerto Rico fits in that category. One of the places that I heard often is Puerto Rico not only because of its breathtaking beaches but, most of all I have quiet a few amazing Puero Rican friends who vouched that Puero Rico is "The Island of Enchantment" afterall; the island is known at that phrase, "La Isla del Encanto."

Here's my list of itenary to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico:

1. Bioluminescent bays which really on top of the list because it is quiet amazing! Thanks to the dinoflagellates which are able to display an awesome emerald green and ultramarine illumination when the water is disturbed. Glowing as you swim is an spectacular sight for sure.

2. El Yunque National Forest is a great place to explore the beauty of nature with lush vegetation and unspoiled tropical attraction.

3. Flamenco Beach in Culebra offers pristine waters and powdery-white beaches which truly is a great place for swimming, scuba diving, and exploring for rare flora and fauna.

4. Camuy Caverns, a natural attraction in Puerto Rico which has a breathtaking view via walking trail or trolley tour. Either way, this place is full of wonderful views to see.

Puerto Rico has 270 miles of coastline and featured in the Top 10 beaches from Travel Channel and that includes Flamenco Beach in Culebra which often cited as one of the best beaches in the world. Are you thinking about crystal blue water and white-sand beaches to enjoy while vacationing? Well, Puerto Rico has that to offer and if you are a History Buffs, you can enjoy old world charm of San Juan as well.

Live your own 5-star vacation story in Puerto Rico. The most amazing experience that you will enjoy is when you visit the Bioluminescent bays where you can glow like an angel. How exciting that can be? This place is one of Puerto Rico's key tourist destinations. Not only that, you can also visit the only rainforest under US National Park Service, the "El Yunque" and experience climbing to the clouds.

If you are an adventurer, horse back riding is an awesome activity to explore a scenic area in Puerto Rico. You have to include in your travel list, the Camuy River Cave Park as well. Camuy Caverns runs through the 3rd largest subterranean river in the world so; while in Puerto Rico, this place shouldn't be missed. Aside from that, if you are a foodie, you can also experience the delicacies of Puerto Rican gastronomy and it's famous Rums.

Puerto Rico is filled with world-class attractions that will turn any trip into a 5-star vacation story. Like SeePuertoRico.com on Facebook for more details and  you may Follow @PRTourismCo on Twitter as well.

Bioluminescent Bay in Puerto Rico

Have you ever watch that movie Life of Pi? Do you remember this scene? How amazing isn't it? The ghostly image down below the water is just incredible! Do you think this is real? If it is real, what makes it glow? Is there a place to visit just to experience this amazing wonder? As a matter of fact, there is and the most famous place is found in Puerto Rico.

Bioluminescent Bay is located in the island of Puerto Rico and there are 3 places that have these awesome display of emerald green beauty: in Fajardo, in Vieques and in Lajas. Recently, it was reported though that Bioluminescent Bay or Bio Bay has gone nearly dark. But why?

Bio Bay is being considered as the best example of a Bioluminescent Bay and is also known as one of the National Landmark in Puerto Rico. When the water is disturb, the water glows. This is because of the microorganism called Dinoflagellates. It will generate an emerald green once the water is disturb.

The emerald green light is actually the chemical response of flagellates. When there is less light from the surrounding area, the more glowing the microorganism is.

Check out this lucky lady. who created an angel out of herself. Flagellates are harmless so; if you travel from far away just to visit Puerto Rico, you should not dare miss this place.

Bay Bridge on Highway 90

The bridge that spans the Biloxi Bay between Biloxi and Ocean Springs on Highway 90 is really a great improvement from the old bridge that was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. The bridge is very impressive when you approach it from either side. The middle span of the bridge rises to over 90 feet high allowing large boats or barges to pass underneath with no problem. The old bridge that was destroyed was a drawbridge that would have to be open for large tugboats or shrimp boats.

I was also impressed with the walkway that was built on the bridge allowing pedestrians to walk or jog across. I have traveled on this bridge at many different times of the day from early morning to late at night and have always seen people walking across in all kinds of weather. Many charitable organizations also use the bridge for jogging events. The bridge can be seen from the hotels of many of the casinos and is quite an impressive sight at night with all the lights they have on it. So if you're in the area of Biloxi or Ocean Springs, MS and want to have an enjoyable walk or jog, check out the Bay Bridge I'm sure you will enjoy it.

The Translator

All my life, I have been traveling. I guess I was destined to explore the world. I lived in Germany, Spain and was stationed in Vietnam too while I was working in the army. How I managed to understand and learn foreign language that I don't know. Maybe I was too eager to learn new things and that includes the language. Up to the present, I can communicate in German. In my time, I don't need a translator because I sort of adapt their language. I tell you, I learned fast. Language was never a barrier.
In today's generation, language courses are being taught in school. That's an advantage. With the help of technology and using the latest innovation in technology and communication, learning to talk in different languages is easy. A person must possess discipline, eagerness and great interest to learn the new language. I knew of someone who can speak multiple languages. In fact, she became an interpreter one time when tourists came by the town.

Later, she became a translator in a school. Learning the translation of a language is pretty interesting. She enjoyed her job of course and she vividly remembers the interpretation of the story they have a long time ago. Anyway, if you are looking for someone reputable who can do the translation, you better check out the links provided here. Good luck!

Cat Island Mississippi

Cat Island is a barrier island off the Gulf Coast of the United States. The island came by its name. When the Spanish Explorers thought the raccoons on the island were cats.

The island is located off the coast of Long Beach, Mississippi about seven miles. It has some great fishing during the month of  January there is an abundance of redfish and speckled trout.  The waters around the island are clear , even though the Gulf of Mexico  is muddy.  Part of Cat Island belongs to the federal government the rest is privately owned.. The bayous and marshes on the island are  inhabited by alligators and is also a refuge to migratory birds. The sand beaches on the island are very nice for relaxing in the sun. There are also  dense forest  on the island  and some live oaks. You can get to the island by private boat as it is only 7 miles offshore for a relaxing getaway visit  the island.

Mississippi Mardi Gras

When you think of Mardi Gras the first place that comes to your mind is New Orleans, the home of Mardi Gras.

Mardi Gras is celebrated along the entire Gulf Coast from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi , to Pensacola, Florida many people are not aware of this.  All the small towns along the coast have their own Mardi Gras parades and you can really get in the spirit of the celebration.

I normally try to be on the Mississippi coast during the Mardi Gras celebration as I enjoy the parades in Biloxi and Ocean Springs there is also a great parade  in the small town of St. Martin on the Back Bay of Biloxi.
The town of Ocean Springs has a day parade and also a night one both are quite good.
The people have put a lot of work into the parade floats they also throw some fantastic beads  and candy.

The Biloxi parade is also a lot of fun to go to as they also have unique floats , and throw many different types of goodies as the parade rolls  along the beach.  The St. Martin parade is the largest one I believe and and is also great fun you  can always hear the people yelling throw me something, Mr.  So for a good time during the Mardi Gras season check out the Mississippi Gulf Coast you won't regret it.
