The Caribbean Coast

Holbox is one of the undiscovered islands on the Mexican Caribbean. It is a beautiful place and left unspoiled by an influx of tourists. It is located on the eastern tip of the Yucatán Peninsula.

With beautiful clear green waters and white sand beaches many thousands of Flamingos, pelicans, exotic birds and small sea creatures have made the waters their home. The waters here are usually warm and calm and very shallow making it a great place for swimming with the kids.

There is only one small village located on this island. There are very few cars on the island the main mode of transportation is by golf cart, bicycle or on foot. You can treat yourself to the local delicacy of ceviche. This is a cold dish of fish, shrimp and other shellfish marinated in lime, tomatoes, vinegar, oil and cilantro with a touch of garlic. If you come for a visit or decide to make this your summer home you will truly have found and unspoiled paradise for yourself.
